What Makes a Good Life- Lessons from the Longest Study on Happiness– Robert Waldinger is the current director of a long-term study on happiness.  The Harvard Study of Adult Development began over 75 years ago, tracking 724 men.  Year after year, the men were asked questions about their work, their home lives, and their health.  75 years later, 60 men were still being tracked, all of them in their 90s and the study group has gone on to track 2,000 children of the men.  Among their conclusions, the researchers discovered that happiness is not about wealth, fame, and high achievement, but rather about good relationships.  People who were more connected to family, to friends, to people are healthier, happier, and live longer.
